Creativity
* Grounded in design fundamentals including composition, color theory, typography, identity systems, concept development and motion design.
* Designs and executes graphical interface treatments for on-line multimedia software products resulting in clean, tight, screen designs. Articulates multiple concepts and ideas quickly with good storyboarding skills.
* Works closely with Art Director to create and design visual treatments that meet AOL and client specifications.
* Provides creative leadership in the development of the look and feel of the assigned project and for the designers of the project team.
* Understands information architecture, user interface essentials, interaction design, brand image management and style guide creation.
* Uses knowledge associated with Bachelor?s Degree in design or equivalent experience.
Technical Excellence
* Minimum 5 years of directly related experience including screen and interface design.
* Expert level knowledge of design tools and applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, advanced knowledge of Flash and CSS/HTML preferred.
* Understands the importance of web site performance and is motivated to design for extreme optimization.
* Solves complex design problems through research, analysis and a strong understanding of technology tools. Designs what can be built with relevant publishing systems.
* Possesses sufficient knowledge to constructively challenge current practices or approaches.
Personal Performance
* Uses communication skills to influence decisions. Actively solicits feedback to ensure that all activities and deliverables meet expectations.
* Demonstrates attention to detail with work and process.

Associate Designer
We are looking for an Associate Interactive Visual Designer to join our Virginia-based design studio. This is a full-time position, offering Time Warner’s full benefits package. Seize this exciting opportunity to maintain designs for AOL.com, the portal page for all of AOL’s web sites, attracting millions of visitors. Candidates should demonstrate a strong focus in the interactive field with up to two years of experience. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic or New Media Design preferred.
Candidates should:
* Exhibit a solid understanding of design fundamentals including color theory, typography, composition, photo retouching, as well as branding and logotype skills.
* Exhibit ability to execute design tasks in alignment with style guides and standards.
* Exhibit a thorough understanding of optimization and production of art assets for the web.
* Exhibit fluency in standard interactive design software tools: Adobe CS, Microsoft Office and above-beginner Flash level, as well as entry level understanding of Action Script 2.0, HTML and CSS.
* Be independent, proactive and able to perform under very tight schedules.
* Work well with design direction and be comfortable within team environments.
* Demonstrate attention to detail, a solution-orieinted attitude and be a great team player.

Esto para mà es una pendejada, primero, si tienes 20 años tal vez no tengas una “amplia experiencia” y segundo, no se supone que desean experiencia? entonces por qué cortan a las personas mayores a 35 años?
